Ash Cottage is approximately half a mile from the castle so leave your vehicle safe and secure and walk to its many events.

Ash Cottage overlooks the castle and is situated in the heart of Kent (known as The Garden Of England) with just a short commute you can be at some of Kent’s finest attractions like The County Showground at Detling, the Famous Whitbread Hop Farm, The Museum of Kent Life and to make your life easy we are just off the M20 route to Dover.

Ash Cottage is just off the M20 at junction 8, there are 2 luxury doubles both with king-size bed and one twin with oversize single beds.  All rooms are on the first floor and are furnished in a unique and inviting way with your every need in mind. Egyptian cotton sheets, best duck down pillows and duvets ensure a really good nights sleep. The double rooms have a luxury ensuite each and the Twin room has a private bathroom.

Every room has its own LCD TV with FreeView plus tea and coffee making facilities. At Ash Cottage we have a no smoking policy for all our rooms. Children over 10 are welcome. Room tariffs from £45 single occupancy to £90 double, rates reflect discounts for mid week and longer stays. There is ample parking for boats, caravans, camper vans, trailers up to 6.5 meters behind secure electronic gates.

You can choose to eat in our traditional dining room with oak beams and inglenook fireplace or should the mood take you in our attractive gardens. There is a choice of menu with herbs and many vegetables picked fresh from the kitchen garden when in season, eggs are local and free range. For walkers and cyclists specially prepared packed lunches with organic juices, yoghurts, rustic bread and local produce can be provided.
